This beauty will be a standout addition to your bathroom! Guests will be dazzled by its beautiful colour. Agate belongs to the quartz family, and is said to heave healing qualities! Agate's signature bands are mineral deposits layered in a circular pattern. This combination of igneous rock with silica deposits, found in groundwater, gives this semi-precious stone its trademark appearance.

Agate sinks are made up of individual pieces of agate adhered to a high-density glass bowl with super strength aerolite glue. This glue was originally designed for aircraft production and is water and heat resistant. The sinks are solidly sealed and coated so there is no risk of mould or dirt entering between the tiles.

PLEASE NOTE: As this is a natural material, variations in colour will occur, so it may not match exactly with the photo!

About Us

Hello!

My name is Lee Dashiell, and I created Unique Sinks in 2016 to bring handcrafted, one-of-a-kind basins to Australian homes. Most sinks available from retail outlets are white and standard, lacking any character or unique quality. I wanted to change that - and now we ship our basins all over the world.

How It All Started

We were travelling in Mexico and stumbled across these beautiful hand-painted sinks in a quaint market stall. As we were about to renovate our bathroom back in Sydney, we thought one would be a great addition. So there we were, dragging a cumbersome, fragile sink as hand luggage across the US, Europe and Asia.

It was worth it. We got it home and were so pleased with the result. And we got to thinking - why aren't there more unusual sinks and basins available in Australia? That question became the spark for Unique Sinks.

Sourcing From Around the World

Over the years, I have personally sourced basins from artisans in Morocco, Mexico, India, Sri Lanka and beyond. It hasn't always been smooth sailing - I've received sinks with poor glazing, bad packaging, and some that arrived broken. (Those ones became a mosaic birdbath, naturally.) But over time I've built relationships with skilled craftspeople who deliver reliable, consistent quality.

Every Moroccan basin in our collection is hand-painted by artisans in Fes, Morocco's cultural capital and the historic centre of traditional ceramics. Each piece is shaped on a potter's wheel, hand-glazed, and painted with intricate geometric and floral patterns that have been passed down through generations. No two basins are exactly alike.

Our Mexican Talavera sinks come from the Puebla region, where the Talavera pottery tradition dates back to the 16th century. These bold, colourful basins are fired at high temperatures to create a durable, chip-resistant finish that stands up beautifully to daily use.

What We Offer

Our range includes hand-painted Moroccan ceramic basins, Mexican Talavera sinks, glass vessel basins, mother of pearl sinks, brass and copper basins, and more. Prices range from $205 to $2,095 AUD, with something to suit every budget and style - from minimalist modern to bold and eclectic.

We offer free worldwide shipping on every order, and every basin is carefully packaged to arrive safely at your door. Whether you're renovating a powder room, designing a statement bathroom, or fitting out a boutique hotel, we're here to help you find the perfect piece.

Based in Australia, Shipping Worldwide

Unique Sinks is based in Splitters Creek, New South Wales. We're a small, family-run business that believes your bathroom deserves more than a plain white basin. Every sink we sell is chosen for its craftsmanship, character, and quality.

I hope you love the variety available here. The smallest room in the house deserves to be one filled with personality and style.
